Today Stephen Youens was sent to Chelmsford Magistrates court after being re-arrested for further sex offences.
Youens an Essex Ambulance Technician was arrested last month after being charged with
online sexual grooming of a child under the age of 16. After the arrest, his house was searched and computer equipment seized.
Essex Police have been analysing the data on the devices and have now further arrested and charged Youens for voyeurism and possession of indecent images.
He was arrested and remanded at HMP Chelmsford and put before the judge today. As this was a too serious offence for the magistrates court to deal with it has been transferred to Chelmsford Crown Court for November 24. This was be an additional hearing as he is already due at Chelmsford Crown Court on the 8th November for his original child sex offences.
This arrest is a direct result of the original investigation by one of our team, who alerted Essex Police of the first offence of online sexual grooming of a child.
