The meeting took place on the 14th June this year and he was arrested and suspended from duty.
Davies-Brewis who was meant to be on duty at the time was communicating with one of our investigators and arranged to meet the boy in Braintree, Essex.
He started talking to someone he thought was a 15 year old boy, but in fact it was a one of our investigators. He arranged the meet the boy and Essex Police were informed and he was arrested by fellow officers who took him into custody.
Due to the seriousnes of the crime, the case was transferred to Chelmsford Crown Court and will be heard on the 9th January. He was released on unconditional bail until then.
