Mark Jenkins the shop worker from Epping in Essex was in Chelmsford Crown Court on the 3rd October.
He attended for his plea hearing for attempting to meet a child for sex after online grooming. He pleaded guilty, and will now be sentenced for the crime later this month.
Jenkins who was at the time working in a clothes shop on High Street, Epping, decided to groom who he thought was a young child for sex. He then invited him to the store room of the shop where he intended raping the child.
Officers from Essex Police were alerted and went to the address to arrest Jenkins and close the store.
Jenkins will now be on the sex offenders register, and we will fully update you after sentencing.
