37 year old Tejas Parikh from Welwyn Garden City was charged on Saturday and remanded to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today 16th October, after being arrested in Harlow, Essex.
Parikh was arrested on Saturday 14th October after grooming who he thought was a young child. He intended to meet the child whilst lying to his family about where he was. He turned up to the agreed location where he was going to have sex with the child but was met by officers from Essex Police who took him into custody.
As the case is too serious to deal with at Magistrates Court it has been transferred to Crown Court.
Parikh has been bailed with conditions that he will not have any unsupervised contact with children under the age of 16 and he will allow the Police access at all times to his electronic devices.
This male is a married man with children, remember we do not condone any violence and can confirm this life he lead was not known to his family.
He is due at Chelmsford Crown Court on the 13th November.
