Paul Bryant from Basildon, Essex was arrested yesterday after a two day operation to track the male down.
He was communicating with one of our decoys who he thought was a young child.
Once he had committed the offence our investigators started tracing the male who at the time we only knew as Paul along with his IP address of his mobile phone.
Our investigators worked tirelessly all day to apprehend the male along with officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary.
When arrested he was taken across the county to Basildon custody where he was charged and remanded.
He was then sent to Basildon Magistrates Court this morning where he pleaded guilty to the online child sexual grooming offences.
He will shortly be added to the sex offenders register.
Bryant will be sentenced later this month, but will remain in prison until then.
