Our investigators were contacted by an on-duty Essex Police Officer, he continued to communicate with who he thought was a young child.
The conversation ended up quite sexual and he sent disturbing images to the profile, which then went on to a meeting. When he arrived at the agreed location on (14th June 2107) he was greeted by another Police Officer and he made off from the scene and was stopped further down the road.
He was brought into custody for questioning and was released on bail and has been suspended from duty as the Forces TSG unit at Chelmsford.
